The Columbia River salmon trip is the most-requested day on Tony's boat. Spring Chinook in April and May, summer Chinook through July, and fall coho through October.

Buoy 10 is the late-summer salmon trip. From early August through mid-September, fall Chinook stage in the Columbia River estuary at the mouth, near Astoria.

Quiet water. Tight window. Best eating fish in the river.
Walleye is the sleeper Columbia River trip. Quiet water on the John Day Pool, a short season from late March through early July, and lodging is available for veterans making the trip east.
